Biography
Andra Natascha Daans is a contemporary artist based in Italy. The last few years she is focusing on developing a contemporary style with her distinctive personal signature. The result is her series of ‘Portraits of Life’, based on true stories. Her paintings and drawings reflect on the life of the main character(s). Without losing reality, Daans adds an expressive identity to the persons we want to remember.
Andra Natascha Daans was born in 1962, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague and the Academy of Fine Arts Rome, Italy.

Tentoonstelling "The Pain of Slavery" Narratieve tekeningen - acryl op canvas paneel
Vijftien verhalen die de gruwel van slavernij afbeelden. De verhalen zijn gegroepeerd in drie series van vijf verhalen:
1. Zwarte geschiedenis. De vergeten pagina's die eeuwenlang verborgen zijn gehouden, maar nu aan het licht komen.
2. De Opstand. De bitterzoete smaak van vrijheid.
3. Moderne Slavernij. Wat hebben we geleerd?
Daarnaast is ook de "I Am" series te zien, deze zijn gebaseerd op de rechten van het kind.
