Feed the Monkey Mind (2018) Printmaking by Alvaro García Lema

Graduate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. Specialty in engraving. With my own engraving and stamping workshop, electrolytic engraving of metals and metalwork in general, including goldsmith and various synalectic work on steel, iron, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum or silver. I also tackle fields of design, mainly oriented to the production of engraved pieces, and drawing, touching on fields such as hyperrealistic portraiture with graphite, medium and large format, or editorial illustration with different books published, in Spain with publishers such as the Gipuzkoan Erein SL, or the Galician Xerais SA, also with works published in Italy, in the publishers Sette Città or Midgard and recently venturing into the illustration of books published independently on self-publishing platforms such as Amazon. In the illustrative field, one of the fields that most attracts my attention at the moment is the visual style, which encompasses different techniques of rendering and shading drawings such as scratchboard, crosshatching, cross contour, etc. I am also interested in other forms of graphic expression, such as tattooing, due to its similarity, but not limited to, engraving on inert supports. In this field, I am in the phase of experimentation and training, and also have a small studio and my own team.
