Urban Silence: Quiet Streets and Secret Corners is a collection of paintings that invites the viewer into the hushed poetry of city life.
Each work captures a hidden corner, a narrow alleyway, or an empty passage where time slows down and light becomes the main narrator.
Inspired by classical painting techniques and infused with emotional stillness, the series explores how forgotten urban spaces hold quiet beauty, layered memories, and a sense of presence beyond people.
These artworks combine tempera, acrylic, and oil on MDF, using glazing, sfumato, and light modeling to evoke depth and atmosphere.
The silence in each painting is not empty—it is full of breath, reflection, and a luminous trace of life.

Biography
Alla Ostrovsky is an artist born in Russia who has spent most of her life in Israel.
Her artistic journey began with studies at an art school, followed by training in painting at professional studios. Later, she deepened her expertise in Old Masters’ techniques at an academy of fine arts. This foundation allowed her to master complex multilayered methods of working with oil, tempera, and acrylic.
Alla is a member of the Petah Tikva Artists' Association and regularly participates in group and solo exhibitions in Israel. Her works are featured in private galleries and held in collections worldwide. Upcoming solo exhibitions are planned in Haifa and Petah Tikva.
Today, she continues to refine her technique, experimenting with traditional methods and creating works that merge classical mastery with her unique artistic vision.
