Alexandre Descamps with the diminutive “AD” was born on 07/29/1992 in Toulouse. He lived in Perpignan for 20 years before returning to Toulouse where he currently resides.
From an early age, art as a whole fascinated him, overflowing with imagination it was natural that he began to paint. For a few years, he took a break from his passion to devote himself to his professional career as a multimedia and household appliance salesman in a major brand. It was not until 2016 that he returned to artistic creation.
Totally self-taught, he learned the basics and artistic technique by watching videos on the internet. For the rest, it is a work of experimentation with successes and failures which make the particularity and the originality of his works.
Several artists have served as a source of inspiration for him such as Dali, César, Picasso, Banksy and many others. During his childhood, the multiple exhibitions in his favorite museum “les Abattoirs" in Toulouse allowed him to develop his creativity. He also draws his imagination from his travels, nature, architecture and current events.
You can find several messages in his works on current topics such as pollution, ecology, overconsumption, but also on human psychology. His interests such as the world of superheroes have had an impact on the artist and his art.
