My photography is structured around contrasts:
- Contrast between days and nights, where some of my best photographs are taken right at the edge of the day
- Contrast between cold and warm colors: yellow and blue, green and red
- Contrast between shapes: soft and smooth edges confronted with sharp jagged forms
- Contrast between large empty spaces and small crowded objects

When faced with a photographic opportunity, I focus intensely on the subject. The world surrounding me seems to exist only through my lens, where I reassemble the elements of color, shape, and space, to describe accurately what my senses are gathering. My feelings of the moment are transcended into the composition of the photograph. Whatever the means used to record the moment, the essence remains the same. The photographic process, in my world, is a way to translate emotion into art.

My goal is to bring these wonders of our world back to your home, in the form of fine art prints hanging on your walls, or decorating your desks. I hope that you will find these photos as moving as I did when shooting them. They are meant to fuel your inspiration for travel, for discovery, and for escaping your day-to-day realities.
