Agnes Pelletier, photographer, began her career in Paris in 2000 as a press photographer-reporter, highlighting artisans across France. His work bears witness to a deep attachment to heritage and to those who make its history.
In 2005, she founded the France Découvertes photo agency, bringing together 35 photographers from all over France, while pursuing her career as a reporter by illustrating the regions through their culinary specialties. She will thus have the opportunity to illustrate several books and to represent the portraits of starred chefs and their cuisine.
In 2013, she was spotted during the photographic biennale of Conches (Eure) for her project "Collective memory". This consists of linking old images illustrating the city and contemporary portraits of its inhabitants, thus creating a link between past and present photographic supports.
In 2015, following the donation of a large collection of old postcards from Eure, she was asked to take contemporary photos of the same places. This gave rise to the "Images" exhibition in June 2016, which was a great success and was extended for six months. This exhibition reveals the evolution of the territory's architecture and landscapes. His technical choice of slow poses creates effects of movement characteristic of our time. His gaze highlights the history of the Pays de Goms.
Because of her interest in photographic heritage, she is responsible for updating the collective memory of the Pays de Conches and exhibiting again in September 2019 at the Musée de Conches.
As for many, the year 2020 is a source of introspection. She thinks of hanging up her camera... and yet, during her long walks on the beaches of Saint-Malo where she exiled herself during confinement, she discovers a new path. His vision sharpened for 30 years finds his gaze, that of Truth, there... at his feet! Since then, she immerses herself body and soul to bear witness to the works created by the greatest artist on this planet: Mother Nature.
Because life as it is is still not what we think we see... She has set herself the task of revealing what must be seen and shown with harmony. Agnes Pelletier, through her lens, captures the very essence of beauty and tells the stories that nature offers us. Her attentive gaze and her artistic sensibility are reflected in her photographs, making her an artist who awakens consciences and invites contemplation imbued with poetry.
