Adriana Garibaldi
She is an Argentine painter, based in São Paulo - Brazil since 1978
Daughter of artists, her father was an illustrator and her mother a painter.
From an early age he demonstrated his passion for art.
Self-taught. He developed his own technique, aimed at expressing emotions through an eminently intuitive art where the human figure is juxtaposed with abstract forms, giving his work an atmosphere of mystery and deep expressiveness.
If I could briefly define my painting, she declares. I would say it is a continuous search for my inner self. For me, painting is a dialogue with this eternal self, my partner for centuries, reliving past experiences not even brought to consciousness, but unveiled with each brushstroke. Subdued by the human figure, I paint almost obsessively, as if it were difficult for my body to keep up with my restless visions, which burst through colors and shapes like a magical kaleidoscope of thoughts, emotions and feelings. This inner search transcends the present and time in search of genuine and timeless art; the inner nature that reveals itself in the visible body of the work of art; the totality of the infinite manifested in the finite. My quest to give concrete form to what is abstract and formless is a permanent mark in my work, as if I wanted to individualize and partially organize reality, moving it away from the chaos of the soul's emotions.
