Zhenya Grosh is a professional artist-photographer. She specializes in nude photography, which depicts the body's development into various states. The body is seen as a manipulable object, and the heightened curiosity leads to existential crises. She uses a special technique called bodyfrottage to realize her photographies
Bodyfrottage is a technique for generating images with the human body, in which the subject's impression or texture serves as an image tool, and the body serves as the form and surface. The body is viewed as a manipulable object, and the increasing curiosity reflects a limited existential condition.
Human embodiment is a one-of-a-kind surface on which society leaves moral imprints. The remnants are evident thanks to bodyfrottage. The photo depicts the moment, while the bodyfrottage captures the aftermath.
Zhenya Grosh was born in 1990 in Russia. She is based in Moscow and works there. she is graduating from the St. Petersburg school of television – photography in 2015. Since 2019, she has been a member of the Russian Professional Union of Artists. She has taken part in nude-themed solo and group exhibits in Russia and Europe, including the 5th International Biennale 2020 in Montenegro.
