My name is Zhanna. I was born and raised in Latvia, in a city, one half of which is in Latvia, the other - in Estonia. I spent my early childhood in the village with my grandmother. She was my first educator. A small woman with a huge heart and soul. It was she who brought into my life an understanding of beauty, love for nature, flowers, for all living things. And I loved to draw since childhood, which I often did in class at school to the displeasure of the teachers. I don’t like to remember school. Since drawing was once a week, it seemed to me that there was little interest there. At the insistence of my mother, I entered medical school and became a nurse. My childhood dream of drawing was pushed into the background.

Now I am 52 years old. I live in Estonia. The last 15 years I began to seriously engage in painting. I did not study this anywhere. It's just my hobby. I really love nature, flowers, lesbian fishing. These are all my inspirations and the main characters of my paintings.

This year (2024) I took part in the British competition GOLDEN TIME TALENT. Three of my paintings won prizes: two - first place and one - second. One of these paintings is for sale at Artmajeur under the name "Nostalgia". I had two exhibitions with this painting in London this year. Over time, I realize more and more that painting is a desire to be creative, simply vital for me. I sincerely hope that my paintings will be liked, that people will feel the warmth and energy that I put into my works. This would be a huge incentive for me to create and not stop.
