“Drawing with scissors”: ceramic theme using mixed media

I create works made in the technique of collage and painting. The main character is a ceramic vessel. In my paintings, vases, jugs, bowls are collected into rhythmic compositions. I am a historian by education and have been interested in the history of art all my life. I was engaged in the creation of ceramics, studied its history. 

I look at ceramic forms with great interest – both in museum collections and in modern interior design stores. I am inspired by forms, textures, rhythms. These impressions develop into images that I embody in collages. I paint the paper myself, cut out forms without a preliminary sketch, “drawing with scissors”. This is how my unique, naive, living artistic language is created.

My works are a story about the beauty that I admire. I want to share it with you.
