Yitzy Rosengarten, born in New York on February 22, 1971, is recognized as on of the greatest landscape painters of New York.
Rosengarten was a draftsman at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City. At that time, he was still in primary school. There he discovered his passion for drawing.
In 1989, he obtained a scholarship to enter the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University, where he mastered the technique of landscape painting. In 1994 Rosengarten graduated and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from this university.
It is estimated that during his career as a painter, Yitzy Rosengarten created about 200 oil paintings, as well as watercolors, lithographs, and miniature paintings, a work in which his landscapes of the Hudson River stand out and with which he managed to achieve international recognition for his painting.
However, the artist's legacy is not limited to the landscape genre, it also encompasses the natural and social sciences. Yitzy Rosengarten had a penchant for subjects such as architecture, anthropology, botany, geology, and paleontology, in addition to creating a series of prints on the evolution of terrestrial and marine flora and fauna.
