William Bernard. Né à Lyon (France) le 14 Novembre 1992.

Suite à une jeunesse très perturbée, j’ai dû arrêter ma 3ème des collèges  pour m’insérer dans le milieu du travail à mes 16 ans. 

J’ai commencé à travailler dans la manutention puis dans la vente et enfin le prêt à porter de luxe à Paris. Deux univers différents qui de part leurs dualité furent pour moi une intense source d’inspiration.

N’ayant fait aucune étude artistique, je suis complètement autodidacte. Ce qui m’as permis d’explorer l’art à ma manière en m’inspirant des plus grands et de leurs techniques. 

J’ai commencé à dessiner pleinement aux alentours de mes 10 ans et j’ai débuté avec la peinture en septembre 2018.

Mes inspirations sont globalement issues de mon passif, des états mélancoliques et auto destructif des êtres humains, les troubles mentaux, l’occultisme et la religion. 

Mes références artistiques sont Roberto Ferri, William Bouguereau, Léonard de Vinci, Victoria Frances, Goya, Le Caravage. 

Comme la plupart d’entre eux j’ai d’abord commencé par du dessin traditionnel noir et blanc pour en arriver à mon médium de prédilection, la peinture à l’huile.

William Bernard. I was born in Lyon, France on November 14th, 1992.

After a highly troubled youth, I had to stop school after 9th Grade and started working at 16 years old.

I first began in the handling area, then continued in retail, and finally carried on with high luxuary retail. These very different universes ended up a immense source of inspiration to me.

I have never studied art, I am self-taught. This allowed me to explore art in my own way, being inspired by the most famous artists and their techniques.

I started drawing when I was about 10 years old and started painting in September 2018.

My sources of inspirations are mainly found in my passive, human’s melancholic and destructive states of mind, as well as mental disorders, occultism and religion.

My artistic references are Roberto Ferri, William Bouguereau, Léonard de Vinci, Victoria Frances,

  Goya, Le Caravage.

 As most of them, I first started by traditionnal drawing in black and white, then persued until my

 medium of predilection, oil painting.
