Willène Pilate est une artiste animalière et animaliste engagée.
Évoluant dans la cause animale, elle exprime son engagement à travers des portraits vibrants et uniques. Ses œuvres nous invitent à changer notre perception des animaux, à contempler véritablement les visages qu'elle dessine, à y découvrir la beauté et à reconnaître en eux des êtres sensibles et authentiques.
Son projet artistique est une recherche multidisciplinaire sur les animaux. Qui sont-ils ? Comment raconter leur histoire ? Pourquoi est-il important de le faire ? Willène Pilate utilise le dessin, la peinture et l'écriture pour explorer et répondre à ces questions essentielles.
Son iconographie met en lumière les visages d'animaux souvent en danger ou exploités. Par son travail, elle aspire à inventorier leur existence, créant ainsi un témoignage visuel de leur vie.
