Adam 2.0 is a one-of-a-kind, 215 cm tall sculpture by Polish artist Weronika Turlej. It is available as a physical, signed work accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The piece premiered at the curated group exhibition “City in the Labyrinth of Imagination” in Radom, Poland (2025), shown alongside works by renowned Polish surrealists such as Rafał Olbiński and Tomasz Sętowski.

This sculpture is a reflection on the fragmented condition of contemporary humanity.

As a conceptual continuation of the Lightkeepers series, Adam 2.0 marks a shift away from literal representation toward abstraction and symbolic disintegration. It explores tensions between the organic and the constructed, the natural and the artificial, the primal and the technological.

Adam's figure features two faces—as if split between identities or realities. His torso is hollow—open yet unresolved—inviting reflection on absence, vulnerability, and inner contradictions. The absence of arms is intentional: a denial of agency, of control, or perhaps of violence.

Etched across the surface are abstract architectural motifs: city grids, urban blueprints, imposed systems of order. These suggest how deeply human identity is shaped—and constrained—by the structures we inhabit.

The sculpture is crafted from steel and quartz sand bonded with high-grade epoxy resin. Its surface is hand-finished with silver and 24-karat gold leaf, emphasizing the tension between permanence and erosion, brilliance and decay. No molds or casts were used—each form was modeled by hand, ensuring uniqueness and material integrity.

I create sculptures that speak about the human experience – our fragility, strength, transformation, and the pursuit of inner balance. At the core of my artistic practice lies the human body – not only as a physical form, but as a vessel of emotion, symbolism, and personal history. I am drawn to what lies beneath the surface: tension, contradiction, and states of suspension. My work exists at the intersection of nature and civilization, intuition and structure, light and shadow.

I work with resin, metal, pigments, and natural textures, striving to capture matter in a moment of transformation. I believe sculpture is not just an object, but a space of encounter – with oneself, with movement, with the unspoken. I often explore the theme of duality, mirrored presence, and the coexistence of opposites. Series such as Lightkeepers and Adam 2.0 are personal reflections on the condition of contemporary humanity, searching for meaning in a world full of contradictions.

For me, the creative process is a form of meditation – a dialogue with material, where shape emerges alongside inner understanding. Sculpture becomes a language through which I ask questions about who we are, where we are heading, and what traces we leave in the shared space we inhabit.
