Biography of Wei Jia
I was graduated from The Central Academy of fine arts high school in 2002, then I moved on get my undergraduate degree at Academy of Arts & Design , Tsinghua University in 2006 and my master at China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. Since my childhood, I am fascinated with using brush to show the color, space composition, movement, and atmosphere of my surroundings. Although at that time, my parents wish me to take the normal career path, such as being an doctor or lawyer, I decided to devolve all my energy in creating fine arts. After professional training in Tsinghua University and China Central Academy of Fine Arts, I learned the basic skills and necessary knowledge of fine arts. I am particularly interested in oil paintings due to its powerful, full strokes and diverse manifestations. Currently, most of my works focus on the natural settings. I try to show the daily activities, typical landscapes and festivals of those small villages in China.
