It is by cultivating the immediacy of the pictorial gesture that I breathe life into my creations. I invite the viewer to feel my emotions in turn, while leaving plenty of room for escape and imagination.
In order to give substance to my inspiration , I explore the endless possibilities offered by acrylic painting and mixed media. This superb texture, which is acrylic, has evolved a lot in recent years and its excipients are now stand the test of time. I like its fluidity, creating colors is easy, its spreading speed is perfect and drying is quick. I also use various additives to create effects. I apply the paint with various brushes, knives, sponges, spatulas and others...mainly on canvas-covered wooden frames of different sizes. I favor linen canvas which has the advantage of not deforming as much as cotton canvas. It is thicker and more solid. Stretched over a wooden frame, the linen canvas has greater dimensional stability.
My creative state of mind corresponds with this quote from Pablo Picasso: A painting is not designed nor fixed in advance. As we work on it, it changes as our thoughts change. And once finished, it continues to change according to the mind of the beholder.
