When I create my piece, I wish to convey the emotions I feel for the scene or objects to the viewer. I want the viewer to be an active participant in my joy, melancholy, humor, nostalgia. To me, the process of creating a work is transcendental I am completely lost in the making, I am part of each piece. To elicit emotion will make the piece and my goal complete as a work of art. My goal is to engage the viewer in the creative process. I invites the viewer to go their own way and become a co-author, to see the image with his own eyes.
Vladimir Volosov was born in 1937 in St.Petersburg, Russia. He is a Doctor of Science, Professor of quantum electronics, winner the USSR State Award, author of more than 100 scientific articles.
In 1990, he left his scientific career and completely devoted himself to painting. “One can rarely find people for whom to live one life is not enough and they manage to live several lives within the same God-given amount of time.”
Now he is author of several hundreds paintings. The main directions of his paintings are lyrical realism and abstract compositions. His paintings are about light, color, atmosphere and space.
Volosov’s works are currently held in galleries and private collections in Russia, USA, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Israel, and Japan.

2004 - Membership in Russian Derzhavin's Academy of Art
2009 - Special prize at the Moscow International Festival «Art preview»
2010 - Two gold medals at an exhibition at Asa Art Gallery ( New York)
2012 - Four paintings was included in album «International Contemporary Artists» Vol IV, New York
. За почти 30 лет «второй жизни» автора прошли его выставки в Финляндии, Швеции, Чехии, Германии, Израиле, США. В 1994 г он участвует в серии передвижных выставок русских художников в Германии под лозунгом «Два мира – одна культура». Персональная выставка Волосова в 1994 году в Летнем саду открывается в день начала Игр Доброй Воли, открывал выставку мэр Анатолий Собчак
В 2006 г. вышел из печати альбом о творчестве Владимира Волосова ( издательский дом «Ковчег» С-Петербург).
В 2010 г публикация в швейцарском издании «Who is who в России»
В 2013 г публ. нескольких картин в альбоме «International Contemporary Artist» New York
В 2014 г публикация в издании «Кто есть кто в России»
В 2016 г вышел из печати второй альбом живописи Волосова (г. Бостон, США)
