Viktor Kovalyk ist es in seiner Arbeit „Spinnennetz“ meisterhaft gelungen, eine ganzheitlich durchkomponierte Lebenswelt zu erschaffen. In ihrer Komplexität doch differenziert stellen die Pflanzen ein Motiv dar, das Märchenhaftes visuell erlebbar macht.
Das Gemälde zeigt einen in sich geschlossenen Kosmos, in dem kein Detail verloren geht, sondern im Gegenteil durch die ganzheitliche Komposition des Werkes bewahrt wird. Im sorgfältig definierten, künstlerischen Raum wird das Einzelne zur Allgemeinheit, erzeugt durch eine meisterhafte Synthese von Komposition und künstlerischer Ausgestaltung. Der enorme Reichtum zeigt sich in einer Fülle an Formen, Knicken und Schattierungen, die sich wiederum in einer Vielzahl von pflanzlichen Erscheinungsformen manifestieren.
Archetypisch sind die Gräser mit einem Schleier aus Spinnweben in grau-violetten Schattierungen von Dunst kombiniert. Das dargestellte anschauliche „Königreich“ der existierenden Welt zeigt, wie komplex und letztlich ungelöst die den Menschen umgebenden Manifestationen des Lebens sind, und fesselt den Betrachter daher mit seiner Tiefe.

Currently ,he lives under a false name, as he is hiding from persecution. His studio was burned down last year. Since that time he has been in different cities, continuing to paint amazing pictures.

Viktor Kovalyk was born on April 20, 1974. Since 1985 to 1989 year, Viktor attended the children's art school and graduated with honors. In 1993, Viktor Kovalik entered Kiev State College of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, Faculty of Graphic Design.

The college begins with Nikolai Murashko drawing school, Kiev Art School (1900-1920) and Kiev School of Applied Arts (1938-1957). The college became the first professional school for such world famous artists as Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Murashko, Nikolay Pimonenko, Alexander Archipenko and Ivan Kavaleridze. The works of its students and teachers are kept in museums in Germany, Italy, Australia, USA, Canada, Poland and other countries.


In 1996 year, Viktor graduated from this college and immediately began to develop his own handwriting and experiment with techniques, which were reflected in his works.

Having an excellent professional base, the artist skillfully and boldly demonstrates his worldview and captivates with his versatility.


Viktor Kovalyk is a master of a number of techniques, that are a testament of his unique talent and vocation.
