It works beautifully as a central art piece, placed on a dark or neutral wall, with directional lighting that highlights the rich texture.
Red — The Root of Vitality
In many ancient cultures, red was more than a color — it was a force.
The fire of Mars. The pulse of the earth. The energy of movement and transformation.
In Japan, red has long been considered a color of protection — guarding travelers from danger, illness, and misfortune. Persian kings wore red adorned with gold as a symbol of power and fertility. Deep red pomegranate seeds were seen as gifts of abundance and renewal.
From a healing perspective, red awakens. It stimulates the nervous system, enhances circulation, and activates the skin and internal glands. In Eastern medicine, red is the color of the root chakra — Muladhara — the center of grounding, physical strength, and survival. It governs the lower body and connects us to the material world. Red energy helps to dissolve stagnation, improve blood flow, strengthen immunity, and support the creation of new life — both literally and symbolically.
On canvas, red becomes a quiet fire. A grounding force. A reminder of our primal strength — not as aggression, but as steady, vital presence.

About the Artist
Victoria Marchenko was born in Ukraine. Creativity has been part of her life since childhood: at an early age, she created fashion sketches, drawing entire clothing collections on paper. It seemed that fashion design would be her life's calling, but at age 15, Victoria was drawn into the modeling industry, where she spent 20 successful years.
However, wherever life took her, art always remained close. Music, in particular, has always been her special source of inspiration—when singing or listening to certain compositions, Victoria experiences goosebumps, overwhelmed by powerful emotions and inspiration. She often dreamt that was composing incredible melodies and songs. Victoria always felt a powerful creative energy inside her, searching for an outlet, and spent years seeking something that could truly reflect her soul.
Then, one day, something incredible happened: she suddenly realized that her true passion was painting. Victoria especially enjoys creating large-scale abstract paintings because, in them, she finds a sense of space, freedom, and emotional intensity.
About the Art
Victoria works in abstract painting. Her paintings are more than just canvas and colors—they embody vibrations, emotions, and energy waiting to connect with the right person. Victoria does not seek to explain her artworks, believing that abstraction allows each viewer to discover their own unique meaning. For Victoria, art is a journey, where the painting and the viewer find each other. She finds it essential that each person sees something personal in her works, experiences a heartfelt response, and engages in an inner dialogue with the artwork.
Artist’s Vision
Victoria believes that art infuses spaces with character, making your house truly feel like home. Her paintings bring not just beauty but living energy, history, and individuality into a space. For Victoria, having art at home means expressing the owner's inner world, emphasizing the uniqueness of the space, and filling it with life and meaning. This belief and inspiration guide Victoria in every artwork she creates.
