The painting “Depth” invites us to dive into hidden layers of time and memory. Through a blend of cool turquoise and blue tones with textured elements, it evokes a sense of depth — not only aquatic, but emotional and internal. The central horizontal line resembles an ancient road, the sea floor, or the remnants of forgotten structures. This work merges fragility and strength, decay and preservation. It is a meditation on what lies beneath the surface — in nature, in history, and within ourselves.

Blue — The Depth of Silence

Blue is the color of silence where thoughts are born.
The depth of the night sky, where dreams become audible.
An inner ocean where you can sink and emerge renewed.

In ancient cultures, blue symbolized wisdom, intuition, and protection. Egyptian priests wore blue to connect with higher powers. In Tibet, it is the color of transformation and inner purity.

From the perspective of Eastern medicine, blue resonates with the throat, the voice, and the thyroid. It helps us express our truth — gently, clearly, without force. It cools inflammation, soothes the heat of the body, and restores calm to the breath.

Blue quiets the mind. It slows the inner dialogue and guides us inward — to the place where we can truly hear ourselves.
This is the color of meditation, focus, and deep inner peace.

On canvas, blue becomes space.
It doesn’t ask for words — it gives them room to appear.

This painting would be especially striking in:
• Modern minimalist interiors, where it can serve as a meaningful focal point.
• Wabi-sabi or industrial loft spaces, where texture and the philosophy of imperfection are appreciated.
• A study or office, to enhance a contemplative, thoughtful atmosphere.
• Bright galleries or corridors, where natural light can reveal the details of the texture.

Ideal surroundings include calm color palettes, natural materials like stone, wood, or concrete, and soft, ambient lighting.

About the Artist

Victoria Marchenko was born in Ukraine. Creativity has been part of her life since childhood: at an early age, she created fashion sketches, drawing entire clothing collections on paper. It seemed that fashion design would be her life's calling, but at age 15, Victoria was drawn into the modeling industry, where she spent 20 successful years.

However, wherever life took her, art always remained close. Music, in particular, has always been her special source of inspiration—when singing or listening to certain compositions, Victoria experiences goosebumps, overwhelmed by powerful emotions and inspiration. She often dreamt that was composing incredible melodies and songs. Victoria always felt a powerful creative energy inside her, searching for an outlet, and spent years seeking something that could truly reflect her soul.

Then, one day, something incredible happened: she suddenly realized that her true passion was painting. Victoria especially enjoys creating large-scale abstract paintings because, in them, she finds a sense of space, freedom, and emotional intensity.

About the Art

Victoria works in abstract painting. Her paintings are more than just canvas and colors—they embody vibrations, emotions, and energy waiting to connect with the right person. Victoria does not seek to explain her artworks, believing that abstraction allows each viewer to discover their own unique meaning. For Victoria, art is a journey, where the painting and the viewer find each other. She finds it essential that each person sees something personal in her works, experiences a heartfelt response, and engages in an inner dialogue with the artwork.

Artist’s Vision

Victoria believes that art infuses spaces with character, making your house truly feel like home. Her paintings bring not just beauty but living energy, history, and individuality into a space. For Victoria, having art at home means expressing the owner's inner world, emphasizing the uniqueness of the space, and filling it with life and meaning. This belief and inspiration guide Victoria in every artwork she creates.
