Natural de Coimbra, cresceu em Almalaguês onde cedo despertou para a pintura. Marcado pelo fascínio da caricatura e das aguarelas, começou a encarar as artes plásticas como forma de expressão em 1980. Desenvolve e participa regularmente em Workshops de Pintura, de Musicoterapia e Arte, em Encontros de Carácter Pedagógico e Científico, e Manifestações Artísticas Públicas. Tem participado em várias exposições individuais e colectivas e está representado nos seguintes países; Áustria, Bélgica, Brasil, Canadá, China, Espanha, EUA, França, Grécia, Holanda, Índia, Itália, Portugal, Reino Unido, Noruega e Suécia. Membro do Movimento Artístico de Coimbra, da MAGENTA, e da Associação Arte à Vista, de que é Presidente da Assembleia Geral.
