A trajetória de Vicente teve um início precoce, quando aos sete anos de idade, descobriu sua vocação artística. Essa habilidade cresceu ao longo dos anos, mesmo enquanto conciliava suas atividades profissionais. Durante as madrugadas, seu horário preferido para criar, ele esculpia, retratando pessoas em cenários do cotidiano. Isso resultou no forte teor social de sua obra.
Vicente encontrava inspiração em momentos diversos. Desde conversas animadas em festas até a contemplação tranquila, percebendo potenciais temas para novas esculturas. Suas fontes de inspiração incluíam fotografias, situações cotidianas e reportagens que lia ou assistia.
Um aspecto distintivo das esculturas de Vicente Silva é a característica dos pés, que são desproporcionalmente grandes em relação aos corpos retratados.
