Veronika’s paintings are very popular among art lovers due to the unique language of metaphors that convey an ideological message close to the viewer, reflecting on the essence of things and keenly feeling changes. In the conceptual component, the artist’s style is close to surrealism in synthesis with modern art. This approach allows her to discuss with the viewers in the language of colors and images, while maintaining aesthetics.

Over the many years of professional activity, the artist has painted thousands of paintings. Most of these works are in galleries and private collections in Russia, Canada, the USA, Germany, Great Britain, France, Australia, Montenegro, Serbia and Malta.

Veronika Chernyshkova was born in Ufa, Russia. Soon her family moved to Norilsk. It was her childhood and youth, spent in the Arctic zone, that left a deep imprint on the artist’s work when she was just starting out. In the conditions of the Polar winter and endless frosts, a habit was formed to find beauty not so much in things as in philosophy. Despite a short period of fascination with the outside world, the forms of her artistic statements were transformed into conceptual messages encrypted in figurative compositions.

Veronika Chernyshkova is also connected with Norilsk by many years of work as a production designer, where she implemented many large-scale significant projects on a large city stage.

Veronika received a higher art education at the Eastern Economic and Legal Humanitarian Academy (VEGU) in the specialty «Head of the Studio of Decorative and Applied Arts», specializing in «Art Design».

The artist’s pseudonym «VerPax» comes from two abbreviated Latin words «Ver», which means spring, and «Pax», which means peace. For some time she worked under the pseudonym «Veronika Pozdniakova».

Since then, the artist’s geography has significantly expanded, turning impressions of new places into various series of paintings that are successfully exhibited around the world and often win various competitions.

Veronika Chernyshkova is an artist of the International Academy of Contemporary Arts, and a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia.
