The theme of the mobile and the need for lightness is at the origin of Vanessa Renoux's original sculptures.
Vanessa creates mixed technique sculptures, mixing steel rods and glued and compressed paper. The skin of the paper covering the sculpture allows for material and texture effects, the painted and patinated surface takes on the appearance of bronze.
This mixed technique leads to freedom: of movement, of seats, of mixing materials (wood, metal, concrete).
Her contemporary sculptures are refined in elongated and refined forms, inspired by Etruscan and Greek statuary and by 20th century sculptors. Line, dance and movement - oscillation, pendulum - are omnipresent.
