The sculpture is made of Paper-Bronze, using recycled, upcycling and over-cycling materials:
Recycled newspaper is glued to recycled metal rods, compressed and dried. The volumes of the sculpture acquire hardness and solidity. The patina then created gives it its metallic appearance, its changing color with bronze reflections. Trompe-l’oeil sculptures!
The patina is here with bronze reflections on a black background.
The spring is left raw, the inside of the dancer, at the feet, has been welded to the spring for good strength.
The theme of mobile and the need for lightness is at the origin of Vanessa Renoux's recycled paper creations. Indeed, “bronze paper” leads to freedom: of movement, of seats, of mixing materials (wood, metal, concrete). The sculptures are refined into slender or refined forms, inspired by Etruscan and Greek statuary and 20th century sculptors.

Vanessa Renoux also paints the landscapes that surround her (Annecy, its lake, the countryside) and the cities she visits. Recently, her work inspired by Japanese Prints has been very successful.
