Valentin Havlicek was born in 1986 in Lesquin, in the North of France. Passionate about drawing since childhood, he first trained in the field of visual arts in Bordeaux, where he obtained a literary baccalaureate with a Visual Arts option, followed by a year at the university. His artistic practice is marked by a great diversity of techniques: computer graphics, painting, ballpoint pen drawing, pencils, oil pastels, charcoals and Indian ink, among others.
His work is distinguished by a style that mixes sketches and surrealism, strongly influenced by the worlds of HR Giger and MC Escher. Valentin Havlicek strives to always innovate, both in the subjects addressed and in the formatting of his creations. He works meticulously on detail and textures, seeking to completely fill the drawing space to create total immersion.
His works vary between black and white and color, inspired by dreams, video games and films. The artist continues to explore new visual horizons, in perpetual search for new forms of expression and creativity.
