I am from North Frisia, but have lived in Bonn for a long time. Since my youth I have been living out my creative side with very different materials and themes. I have been intensively and continuously involved with painting for over 20 years. Since then I have attended various courses and workshops with different lecturers with the following thematic focuses: nude painting, charcoal technique, portrait, gouache and pastel painting, watercolor and collage.
Since 2014 I have taken regular lessons at the Free Art Academy artefact in Bonn. From 2016 to 2019 I completed a 3-year art degree there. In 2023/2024 I attended the advanced training course "1 year for art, painting and drawing" at the Alanus Art Academy in Alfter.
I regularly show my paintings in solo and group exhibitions, and on my website and in social media, among other places.
In addition to non-representational painting, my thematic focus is also on flora and landscape, especially the North Sea and the Wadden Sea. Moods, structures and colors flow into my work. My painting moves between expressive colors and watercolor-like acrylic painting. The deliberately used juxtaposition of order and controlled chaos always begins with a translucent colored underpainting. The finished picture is then created by applying many translucent and opaque layers of paint.
