I absolutely adore art from all over the world and I’ve been thinking for a while now: How can I as an artist connect with people who would like an original painting like mine on their walls to add a certain feeling to their beloved space.

Art should be for everyone, right, so everyone should have all sorts of paintings in their house to make themselves feel good.

A painting isn't just depicting something of beauty or interest, a painting is so much more.

A painting can be used to evoke all kinds of feelings.

A painting like music can make us feel anything we want to feel. 

That's what paintings are for, like books where the words carry you to a distant place. Perhaps you’ve never seen anything like it before. Perhaps something comforting and reassuring or something that gets your thinking going. 

Art is life not just a lifestyle. And Art is brilliant.

Official Bio

Having always known that she was here to live a meaningful life, Ursula Sandys decided in her late youth to do something worthwhile and leave full time employment to have a go at learning how to express feelings as an actress. She started to perform in plays and in-house productions at the Elisabeth Buehne and the “Toi-Haus children and youth theatre” in Salzburg, Austria. 

Working part time in the “Mozarteum” she got involved with visual artists who collaborated with the theatre through many workshops and plays. At the Toy House she played in experimental performances and took workshops, e.g. Pantomime, Commedia dell'Arte, relaxation techniques such as Feldenkrais and Thai Chi.

When she got married in 1993 she moved to England, where she now lives with her English family. Her background in experimental theatre eventually led to finding another artistic outlet in painting.
