Das Aquarell entstand Pleinair im eigenen Garten zur Zeit der Päonien Blüte im Juni. Ich bin jedes Jahr aufs Neue von den kraftvollen Rottönen der Päonien fasziniert. Ihre kompakte Wuchsform bildet einen interessanten Kontrast zu den langen schlanken Blütenständen des violetten Fingerhuts. In der Mitte des Bildes ist ein Gartenpfad angedeutet. Mein Pinselstrich ist expressive und locker. Das Sommerlicht habe ich impressionistisch eingefangen. Das Aquarell liegt zwischen einem 60x80 cm großem weißem Passepartout mit Schrägschnitt und einem stabilen Karton als Rückseite. Meine Signatur ist auf der Vorderseite.

Watercolor
