On the peak (2023) Digital Arts by Uliana Salagina (Uliana Sal)
"Fine-Arts" prints on paper

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. Uliana Sal is an abstract artist born on the rugged Kola Peninsula, where the imposing Khibiny mountains became her early muses. Surrounded by nature’s raw beauty, she developed a deep appreciation for the grandeur of landscapes, particularly mountains, which now form the core of her artistic themes. After moving to Montenegro, she found herself equally captivated by the warm, contrasting peaks of her new home, further enriching her visual language.
Uliana began her artistic journey in 2022 and quickly became an active participant in group projects. Among her numerous exhibitions, notable highlights include the Talents of Russia exhibition at the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Russia, and the collaborative project between Artseeker Gallery and the Museum of International Art (MoRA), Woman: Balancing Our World, in New Jersey, USA.
Since 2023, Uliana has been studying art history and contemporary art through various educational programs. As part of the Artseeker Gallery team, she also contributes to promoting and supporting emerging artists in the global art market.
Uliana’s works are included in private collections in Montenegro and Italy.
Her art is inspired by the natural world, mountains, and the bold colors of digital media. The central theme of her work is mountain landscapes, a reflection of her childhood surrounded by the harsh northern mountains, intertwined with her current home on the Montenegrin coast.
The use of neon and fluorescent colors alongside more natural tones mirrors her journey from monochromatic childhood preferences to a vibrant, expressive style. Through abstraction, Uliana captures both the beauty of untouched nature and the inevitable traces of human impact, encouraging viewers to reflect on their relationship with the environment.
