Born in Kingston, Jamaica Tricia Gordon-Johnston lives and works in Jamaica. She is a formally trained artist who works in the areas of painting, installation, ceramics, jewelry, NFTs and t-shirts. Tricia’s work is informed by Minimalism, Tachism and other Conceptual Art Movements.

Generally her paintings and installations are a complex of density, atmospheric vastness, enveloped linear composites, saturation and transient states of hegemony through fragility. They begin with color and geometric shapes expressed as large scale forms and as fragments, parts of a whole (Gestalt Theory).

Her paintings and digital art mostly utilize the female body and speak about birth and other topics affecting women.

She also uses images of butterflies and the humming birds that are further speak to her Jamaican heritage.
