I started altering fashion magazines by painting directly on their glossy pages to express the dark side of beauty and the harmful impacts of advertising and marketing on women. This creative act expanded to modifying the works of renowned male artists, aiming to highlight the historical lack of representation of women in art. Through this journey, I have found a way to take back control from the repetitive and exploitative images and narratives that inundate women daily.

Tracy Brown is an experienced painter from the United States who has exhibited her vibrant and feminist artwork nationally and internationally in countries such as South Korea, Argentina, England, Italy, and Switzerland. Her pieces have been featured in various publications, including DAZED, Marie Claire, HuffPost, ELLE, and Juxtapoz. Brown's work can be found in over 100 private collections across the US. Recently, she had her first museum gallery solo exhibition at Artemizia Foundations’ Gallery 818. You can view two of Brown’s larger works within the museum's mural labyrinth. Her work is often described as bold, humorously defiant, and feminist.

As a fast-working artist, Brown draws inspiration from diverse sources such as advertising, street art, and art history. She aims to bring to light the suppressed emotions and societal constraints imposed on women. Through her work, Brown expresses a range of emotions, sometimes using sarcasm, humor, or irony.

For Brown, art is a medium through which she navigates the complexities of humanity, finding purpose and connection in life. Her process serves as a cleansing, a place to purge toxic stereotypes and perceptions of women.
