C’est en confrontant des symboles de la culture du XXIe siècle à l’art ancestral de la mosaïque que j’exprime la notion de témoignage, concept central et partagé par l’ensemble de mes œuvres.
Témoignage au sens héritage, comme une archéologie contemporaine, de par ma
pratique outil d’expression millénaire, et en s’inspirant du quotidien immatériel. Je fixe un patrimoine iconographique contemporain.
Montrer encore de belles choses. Le beau au risque du décoratif. Beautés indéniables, quelquefois ineffables, ambivalentes souvent.
Parenthèse : ambiguïtés de la légèreté.
L’oxymore contemporain. L’épineuse question de la foi en l’art.
Sensible : beaucoup de pratiques héritées, parfois rejouées.
Une logique d’intrigue.
Pour moi la mosaïste détruit et puis crée, casse et colle, une pratique chronophage qui
nécessite la répétition sacerdotale de gestes immémoriaux, et, d’un chaos harmonieux, nait une figuration parfaite.
Le choix du médium mosaïque est la conséquence d’un accident dont je porte encore les stigmates aujourd’hui, le modus operandi curateur de la mosaïque, témoigne avec exactitude le vécu d’une expérience traumatisante, qui est celle d’avoir un corps brisé.
