Né en 1975, je reste un artiste autodidacte.
L'art un métier? La question ne s'est jamais posée : j'ai simplement un besoin viscéral de créer!
Avec du recul j'aurais bien voulu être étudiant en art mais je voyais à l'époque dans le dessin plus un moyen de totalement oublier le monde ennuyeux qui m'entourait qu'un futur métier. Pendant longtemps j'ai considéré que c'était un passe-temps et lorsque j'ai commencé à bien dompter le crayon de papier, mon conseiller d'orientation a vu en moi, avec mes belles représentations en 3 dimensions, le potentiel d'un dessinateur... industriel!
Mon parcours est une série de rencontres, de cours à la carte et surtout des heures, des jours (et des nuits), des mois et des années à expérimenter différentes techniques et à les mettre en pratique.
Aujourd'hui les choses ont évolué. Le besoin de gribouiller sur des petits carnets et sur mes cahiers de cours a laissé la place à la liberté de pouvoir dessiner et peindre sur de grandes feuilles. J'ai commencé à montrer mon travail lors d'expositions régionales avec l'envie d'émerveiller mais aussi de pousser les personnes à regarder plus loin que les traits.
Mes tableaux ne sont en effet pas simplement des représentations d'un monde imaginaire mais veulent aussi attirer l'œil du spectateur vers la réflexion. Des constructions impossibles, des œuvres cachant des mots, des visages ou des animaux, des labyrinthes où des tableaux noir & blanc qui se révèlent en couleur par la technique (réalité virtuelle, 3d anaglyphe...). Tout est fait pour ne pas sombrer dans la contemplation.. à quelques exceptions!
