This painting has been inspired and in the way dedicated to Jorge Luis Borges.

In this painting artist is showing the group reading hidden text and possibly the foreign language text, or even text using foreign script.
Painting portraits and human bodies enables the artist to get deeper into minds of human nature and to explore beauty and complexity of human body and of life itself.
Artist's style could be described as a contemporary impressionism. He works fast but with clear concept before starting a new painting. His preferred mediums are watercolour on paper and oil or acrylic on canvas.

Tony works "alla prima", directly with brush, without pencil sketch beforehand and with very little amount of overpainting and correcting.
Music is also part of the painting process. This one is dedicated to a very special work: Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.

Born in Croatia in 1958, Toni Belobrajdic is a Sydney based figurative artist. He started exhibiting in the late seventies and had his first solo show in 1983 in Croatia. Toni moved to New York in 1987 where he continued his art practice. He exhibits both in Sydney and Europe regularly. Acrylics, watercolours and oils have been the mediums of choice. Etchings is the latest medium being explored and studied with a great passion. His style could be described as contemporary impressionism, mostly portraits and figures. Toni’s artwork demonstrates distinct freedom using spontaneous brushstrokes and vivid colours. He combines layered figuration of human forms put in abstract situations. Another passion is painting animals, mostly bulls and horses.
