Ce surnom lui vient de son grand-père à qui elle rend hommage, lui même ayant été artiste en création de dessins pour canevas,broderies,costumes etc....

Née en 1953 à Paris, elle s'installe 50 ans plus tard à Surzur, charmante commune morbihannaise, "entre terre et mer" près du golf du Morbihan.

C'est en 1999, que par hazard sa route croise celle d'une artiste peintre diplômée des beaux-arts,ayant travaillée à l'académie Julian avec Cavaillès et Saboureau, qui lui met le pied à l'étrier .

La peinture de Tilou est onirique, l'imagination étant sa source d'inspiration.

Puis cette imagination débordante l'entraîne vers une abstraction liée au trait du dessin.

Certains lui disent " ce n'est pas de l'abstrait, puisqu'il y a une contruction liée au dessin", et d'autres"ce n'est pas du figuratif puisque cela ne ressemble à rien de concret".

Alors faut-il un classement du genre ?

Tilou peint ce qu'elle aime et souhaite donner sa part de rêve aux autres . Sa peinture se reconnait par son originalité.

Tilou peint l'abstrait dans une démarche murie, réfléchie et pensée. Les hazards deviennent des accidents et peut-être que rentrer dans son monde est votre accident.....
