Anita Mihalyi (Thubakabra)
Starting to realize that I want to do art for a living in 2008, I left a boring University to pursue this idea. Since then, I got into the world of realism, a bit of abstract, surrealism and I fell in love with artistic nude creations.
As a person with ADHD, I have a vast interest in techniques and methods. I can't settle for the same thing over and over again which makes it impossible for me to stick with the same art style. However, it helps me to move forward with a curiosity that can't be satisfied easily. All of this chaos makes it easy for me to switch between art styles and when a strong emotion hits, nothing limits my creativity to translate that feeling into visual art.
I believe that I am still on a road of exploration, maybe until death comes, but I try to accept the idea instead of being scared of it.

Opening My Online Gallery
Hello fellow art lover
I am Anita, or rather, Thubakabra and I am a freelance artist. My main subject usually is human figures, mostly woman figures, portraits, and some of them with a touch of surrealism.
I can't help myself, I have a lot of photorealistic artworks as well. I love details and the effect when you feel like the drawing is about to move.
Why I Opened My Online Art Gallery
So far I was posting my artwork only on my Facebook artpage. I was thinking about it a lot and I decided to open my online gallery. I hate the thought of having all those drawings and paintings that I made over more than 15 years getting lost in the folders.
I really hope that some of my artworks will find their owner through this site.
I also want to select artworks that hold some meaning or somehow, are unique. This website is just the perfect pick for that.
My Plan
In the following weeks, I will continue uploading my works which include mostly graphite pencil works, but also some watercolors and charcoal drawings too. During this process, I am going through my old works and trying to figure out which one can be interesting to the public eye. I also started cataloging them, to have some chance to see through the chaos.
It is also great for nostalgic reasons and to find again the different feelings I had when I worked on each piece.
Feel free to come back any time, and I hope that some artwork will grab your attention.
