Les chevaux sont ma première passion, soixante ans de complicité. Le cavalier que je suis les peint pour le bonheur du mouvement : courses, polo, dressage etc… ; pour l’artiste, ils sont prétextes à une recherche d’harmonie, de tons qui les tire vers l’abstraction.
Je peins à l’huile et au couteau, deux techniques permettant liberté totale, spontanéité et remise en question permanente. Je peins sur le thème du cheval, de la musique et me ressource dans l’abstraction. Ma palette est diversifiée, ocres, couleurs chaudes, froides et ruptures.
J’aime la musique, le jazz et Bach, je peins les musiciens et plus particulièrement les instruments à cordes pour le plaisir du geste et des positions, je veux entendre les correspondances entre couleurs et musique .
La peinture abstraite est mon plus grand pas en avant ; recherche dans le domaine de l’harmonie universelle, voyage dans le ciel. Difficile d’y monter et encore plus d’en descendre. Actuellement les jeux de lumière et le thème du vitrail.

I do oil painting with palette knives. These techniques allow a total freedom as well as a sincere spontaneity and leads to permanent questioning. My themes are : Horses, music, abstract painting. I use a wide variety on my palette : ocres, hot, cold, and breaks.
My first passion, sixty years of complicity with horses. The rider I am paints them for the quest of movement : polo, racing, dressage etc…., the painter I am paints them as a pretext for a quest of harmony.
As a music-lover, Jazz and Bach. I paint strings : violin and cello etc … for the pleasure of the gesture and the positiions of the musician’s hand, I will find a correspondence between the tune and the colours.
The abstract painting is my greatest step forward, a quest of universal harmony, a trip in the sky. It is a hard climbing and the « glide »is not easier. I work about the light and the theme of the stained glass.

Thierry Faure, born in 1944 in Nevers, is a French artist who embodies the fusion between equestrian passion and artistic expression. A rider for 45 years, he participated in show jumping and eventing competitions, while being a riding school master from 1969 to 1977. His love for horses has never left him, and he continues to breed and work a few horses.
In 1977, influenced by an artistic atmosphere present in his family, Thierry Faure decided to take up his pen and brushes again, reconnecting with a passion that led him to his first exhibition in 1983. From 1985, painting became his main activity, a universe where he masterfully explored various mediums such as gouache on paper, oil on linen canvas, and ink on paper. His style, oscillating between expressionism, sketching and realism, reflects a unique sensitivity where each brushstroke seems to capture movement, emotion, and the moment.
Thierry Faure exhibits permanently in his Galerie-atelier de la Boulaye at the IFFS, as well as at the librairie galerie du Mole in Saint-Malo, at the galerie « Sable et Bruyères » in Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, and at the Galerie des Glaces in Nantes. He also collaborates with the Redmond Gallery in Naas, Cherrylanefine Art in Wicklow, Ireland, and the « Gallery Rolly Michaux Ltd » in Boston, USA, where he exhibited in 2007 and 2009. Thierry Faure's works are present in private collections in France, Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland, the United States, Canada and South Korea, testifying to the international impact of his work.
