Thierry Palaz was born in Lausanne on April 15, 1952. From a young age, he was drawn to the arts, beginning his creative journey shortly after completing primary school. Initially trained as an automobile mechanic, Palaz’s passion for art led him to explore various creative fields, including professional photography and set design.
Over the years, Thierry Palaz developed a diverse artistic career. He worked as a show set designer, creating film projections set to music, and served as a contemporary dance lighting designer on the stages of Lausanne. He also contributed to rock concerts across Switzerland and worked in theater, bringing his unique artistic vision to a wide range of performances.
For the past 25 years, Palaz has focused on sculpting, evolving from early light sculptures to intricate steel and epoxy resin creations. His recent work features innovative Steel-Resin sculptures with integrated LED lighting. Palaz has showcased his art in numerous exhibitions at galleries, the Art Fair in Lausanne, Salon Mag Montreux, and various museums and private venues. His career reflects a deep commitment to exploring new artistic methods and expressing creativity through both traditional and contemporary mediums.
