A piece of my work, made in the textural technique of oil painting, is presented.
The center of the picture is dominated by a modern urban landscape, with brightly lit skyscrapers stretching to the sky, as if competing for space with the stars. Shades of fire from building windows and streetlights paint a picture of life continuing despite the late hour.
A successfully conveyed perspective allows one to appreciate the scale of the city, its breadth and depth. A successful combination of dark and light parts creates the effect of depth and perspective, giving the image three dimensions.
The sky above the city is depicted as deep, bottomless and rich in stars. These small bright white dots in the darkness of the sky contrast with the bright lights of the city, creating an extraordinary contrast.
This picture is not just a reflection of the night cityscape. This is a reflection of the life of the city, its rhythm, energy. It attracts attention with its depth, wealth of details and a wonderful combination of light and dark.
I used a palette knife and art brushes to create this one.

My name is Tatyana, and I’m a professional artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Today, I live and create in the beautiful and inspiring city of Lisbon, Portugal. I began my artistic journey in 2014, and since then I’ve completed over 300 original paintings, with more than 160 of them sold to private collectors across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

My favorite medium is oil on canvas, and I especially love working with a palette knife, which allows me to create expressive textures and emotional depth. I also enjoy experimenting with acrylics, digital tools, and various techniques to expand my creative range.
My work often moves between abstraction and reality, drawing on themes that speak to my soul — the beauty of the female form, the calm power of nature, the silent poetry of cities, and the timeless elegance of architecture. I find inspiration in everyday moments, ancient and modern structures, and the emotional presence of space and light.
For two years, I led in-person workshops in oil painting and acrylic techniques, sharing my knowledge and helping others find their own creative voice. Teaching was a deeply rewarding experience that further shaped my artistic philosophy.
