I came to art as a Mature and accomplished person. On the one hand, it is too late for the full realization of myself as an artist in the remaining period of time, on the other hand, I had a strong desire and belief that I need to do painting. Clarity and satisfaction for me lies in honest full-scale drawing, in the study of living and inanimate nature, in the study of animate objects. As an artist, I prefer working closely with the model. Often this is plein air drawing, in the technique of a La prima, during which I live for several hours in this physical space, in this geographical place. I postulate this as one of the ways to study the world, learn about nature, and at the same time transfer your experiences to the canvas. No less attractive to me is inanimate nature, still lifes, as something new and quickly fading, something extremely attractive and rapidly escaping. For an artist who lives in a modern digital world in which information, visual images, contacts, and people move at great speeds, it is very important to pause in a world where there are no borders. You can stop in front of nature, freeze for a moment in the city, or calm down in front of the living and warm. It is important for me to devote myself to this object, phenomenon, and become a part of the environment for some time. I think less about the audience than I do about my own feelings. I am the viewer, eagerly snatching pieces from the matrix of life, trying to arrange them into a complex infinite puzzle of my own feelings. The materiality of what is happening I reflect on the use of materials - oil paints, oil pastels, canvases, thick paper-this creates a sense of security, fullness, and forms a clear connection between human hands and the objects depicted.
