Эта картина стала для меня особенной – впервые я взялась за изображение рыбы. Всё началось с большого улова, с которым мой муж вернулся с рыбалки. Его радости не было предела, и он с энтузиазмом предложил: "А давай ты ее нарисуешь!" Сначала я посмеялась – мол, писала цветы и пейзажи одно, а вот рыба… Но он так вдохновенно разложил улов, что победить было невозможно.

В итоге передо мной получилась импровизированная композиция: на разделочной доске блестящая свежая рыба, рядом лук, чеснок, зелень – все то, что делает вкус блюд особенным. Для гармонии я добавила два интересных кувшина, придающие картине уют и классическую завершённость.

Работа принесла мне много открытий: например, я поняла, что чешуя – это не просто серебристый блеск, а целая игра оттенков. Пока я старалась передать ее на холсте, муж периодически заглядывал и проверял "сходство с оригиналом". Смешнее всего было, когда он предложил "поменять рыбу", потому что одна из натурщиц уже ушла на ужин.

Так, благодаря счастливой случайности, эта натюрморт появилась на свет, став для меня новым творческим опытом.
