Since 1985 he is a regular collaborator of MAD magazine (brazilian edition), where he illustrates satires of TV programs and the magazine's covers.
- Graphic Artist graduated by the Fine Arts School of Paraná, Edson Ossamu Takeuti is a japanese descendent born in Curitiba City, Parana State, Brazil, on July 24, 1965.
- He started his artistic career in 1983 publishing comics at Curitiba's local newspaper.
- From 1990 to 1994 he lived in Tokyo, Japan. While working as illustrator for publishers and japanese advertising agencies, he also continued his weekly brazilian comic strip. His comic strips creations, like Marco and His Friends, X-salad and X-everything, was published in brazilian newspapers for many years.
- Back again to Brazil, he started an art studio (TJR Studio) in 1995 and presides the APIQ - Parana Illustrator's Association (from 1997 to 1999). At that time, he and others cartoonists creates a brazilian super-hero called Gralha. Weekly published from 1998 to 2000 at People's Gazete Journal, the biggest in the state. This character had its first adventures published in an album by Via Lettera Publishing House, winning the prize of 2001 Best Fiction Album at HQ MIX (the brazilian comics Oscar).
- In 2002, after participating in a Tizuka Yamasaki's short-movie, he writes and directs an live-action adventure short-movie with his super-hero Gralha. This 20 minutes short-movie called "The Egg or the Hen" won the Popular Jury's Best Film at Curitiba's International Movie Festival in 2003.
- In 2003 he also was invited to participate in the book "Wakame's - Best Nipo-Brazilian Artists", published by the Parana State Government.
- In 2004 he founded the first Brazilian Caricaturist's Directory (.br)
- Before he went back to Japan in 2004, he still made more 2 short-movies called "An Explosive Meeting" and "The Fondness".
Now, after working as art director at IBF COM in Shizuoka-ken, he starts a new art studio in Nagoya City, Japan. He is also the editorial cartoonist of the biggest brazilian newspaper in Japan, the International Press.
