Quince, a golden apple from the orchard of Aphrodite. Many believe that the golden apple given to her by Paris was a quince. I suppose she planted that very one and then became a really serious farmer and marmalade producer. Quinces
Quince, a golden apple from the orchard of Aphrodite. Many believe that the golden apple given to her by Paris was a quince. I suppose she planted that very one and then became a really serious farmer and marmalade producer. What an inspiring sight, the Goddess of love, lightly dressed, cooking and stirring thick, sweet quince jelly.
In early September quinces are not yet ready to be picked up by Aphrodite, but their irregular curvatures and light greyish-green that blurs with deeper green of leaves drew my attention and put my painting equipment to work.
