"L'Âme de la rose" de John William Waterhouse, peint en 1908, qui est une œuvre imprégnée de mystère et de sensualité, typique du style préraphaélite. Il est également connu sous le titre "The Soul of the Rose" ou "My Sweet Rose".
Dans ce tableau, une jeune femme est représentée de profil, délicatement penchée vers une rose qu'elle semble humer. La rose est située près d'un mur en pierre couvert de lierre, suggérant un jardin secret, un lieu intime. La scène est calme, presque méditative, comme si la femme était plongée dans une communion spirituelle avec la fleur.
Je me suis mise au défi, dans ma carrière de peintre , d’apprendre et de développer des techniques plus classiques. Ce défi m’a amené à découvrir l’huile et ses avantages.
Ce tableau m’a demandé de nombreuses heures de travail et d’observation. J’ai toujours admiré le travail de Waterhouse et des préraphaélites. En espérant que cette représentation saura toucher votre cœur.
