Monoliths VI is part of Pacifica series. A world in transformation, without being immediately changed, washed by rain and carved by wind and waves, the monoliths are oftentimes surrounded by a mysterious, dramatic, and otherworldly atmosphere. To convey this, the images were edited in black and white, as this felt closer to the spirit and the act of writing: black ink on white paper.

Pacifica won several international awards and was published in Dodho Magazine and Light, A Journal of Poetry and Photography.

Susanna Patras werkt als professionele fotograaf. Ze fotografeert de natuur, of natuurlijke onderwerpen in haar studio, met de nadruk op rustige zwart-witlandschappen, zeegezichten, planten en abstracties.

Haar beelden, die zijn beïnvloed door het Aziatische en Europese minimalisme en de dramatische landschappen van Ansel Adams, streven ernaar een vredig moment van reflectie in de natuur weer te geven in plaats van te dienen als een registratie van de locatie.

Susanna Patras is een Roemeense artieste. Ze verhuisde in 1998 naar de Verenigde Staten. Ze studeerde af aan Sessions College for Professional Design en het New York Institute of Photography. Haar werk is te zien geweest in tijdschriften zoals Landscape Photography Magazin, Light, A Journal of Photography and Poetry, en anderen, en heeft talloze internationale onderscheidingen gewonnen. Susanna Patras is lid van het Houston Center for Photography in de Verenigde Staten en de Union of Romanian Artists (UAPR).
