Stephen Shaw

I am a self-taught artist inspired by the light, colour and mood of Irish landscapes and its ever changing scenes. Most of my work is inspired by the surrounding landscapes of places I know well in Derry, Donegal and Dublin.

I was born in Australia but moved to Derry as a child. I studied visual communication in Belfast and have worked for several years as a graphic designer in Dublin where I currently reside.

I enjoy juggling a professional career in graphic design and working as a painter/artist in the evenings and weekends. I work predominantly in the medium of acrylic.
