Stephen Lucas's painting "Omnipresent" is a work of **non-representational abstract art**. While the composition doesn't depict a specific, identifiable subject, it does feature forms that are suggestive and metaphorical. The artist himself has stated that his work is an expression of his "subconscious connection to his intuitive vision."

The painting is characterized by its bold use of color and a complex interplay of geometric and organic shapes. The left side features structures that evoke a cityscape, with a few recognizable window-like forms. This contrasts with the more fluid, yet structured, forms on the right side.

A dominant feature is a long, curved, whitish shape that could be interpreted as a mustache, a horn, or an abstract representation of a physical feature, which gives the painting a surreal or almost figurative quality despite its abstraction. The large, rounded shape with a distinct yellow "eye" and a grid-like pattern on the right side adds to this sense of a distorted or fragmented face.

The lines are both bold and fluid, defining shapes and creating a sense of movement and visual rhythm. The color palette is vibrant and varied, including deep blues, rich reds, warm oranges, and stark blacks and whites, which creates visual energy and strong contrast. The painting has a sense of being fragmented and viewed from multiple perspectives, which draws from the principles of **Cubism**, though it is not strictly in that style.

The title "Omnipresent" suggests a theme of being everywhere, or an all-seeing quality. This resonates with the prominent eye-like shape on the right side of the painting. The combination of cityscape elements on the left and the figurative, almost monstrous or divine, form on the right could suggest the omnipresent nature of modern urban life, surveillance, or even a personal, inner consciousness that observes everything. As Lucas states, his work is meant to be a personal and spiritual experience for the viewer, inviting them to find their own truth within the abstract forms and colors.

"There are in our lives moments of indescribable emotion, words fail us many times, this vision beyond the describable is the realm of non-representational art." -Alexander Liberman

It has been one of Stephen's greatest pleasures in life to learn that sometimes, what a person experiences when viewing his art is so deep, that the place they discover within themselves is something they had longed to tap into, and his painting was the key to helping them unlock it. Stephen says, ''I believe that is what people recognize and appreciate about my art'. The colors and composition come from his subconscious connection to his intuitive vision. He says, "It's a spiritual thing, my best work always comes from that part of me!'' This is Stephen's language transformed with paint for the pleasure of the viewer!

Viewing Stephen's art is like brunch at a 5 star restaurant, it's a feast.....for the eye as well as the soul! He hopes you enjoy his work!
