Stefano Mazzolini is a contemporary Italian artist. His graphic style manifests it in a gestural and immediate way, the dynamic stroke creates drops of acrylic on paper. Well managed pilot stains without following drawings and projects, thus replacing the brush with ampoules and a spatula. Precise features to delimit the contours of human shapes, hints that act in space expressing action rich in spontaneity. While on the canvas with oil he expresses his vision of the hidden, beyond the appearance of being, silhouettes of androgynous subjects, very precise to represent objects, people and intrinsic things and formed by a very complex structure. By cutting the canvas and superimposing it, he builds the painting into sculpture.

With sculpture he definitively closes an artistic path characterized by its stylistic coherence. Thus inventing a new three-dimensional representation, the sculptures of Lycra Resina, treated and consolidated synthetic fabric offers a new concept of sculpture, highly saturated with sacredness, human and alien figures, stylized silhouettes, always suspended between the sacred and the profane, draping to form characters out of the past and revisited in a modern way. With sculpture, a new awareness of lived experience has been achieved in a new imaginary future perspective of our future.

Stefano Mazzolini was born in 1968, in Italy, where he received a Master of Art in pictorial decoration at the Paolo Toschi Institute in Parma.
