I am Soraya Quintana, a Plastic Artist, Ecological, with a University degree in Decoration and Architectural Drawing, I started painting since I was 3 years old, my mother says that she looked for me and I was in a closet painting, my parents discovered my talent and supported me in it; I began to receive private classes with the best painters in the city Barquisimeto, where I was born, and at the age of 17, I traveled from my country Venezuela to study abroad, seeking to unite art with design, I studied at the University of Bogota, Interior Design, I merged decoration with art and I was inclined to large-scale mural paintings and wall texture techniques, which allowed me to handle various architectural projects, which require creative skills and artistic talents. I have developed exclusive designs and paintings in the area of interior design such as murals, trompe l'oeil, different wall techniques, Faux Marbling and restorations of antique furniture. I was the winner of a visa in the United States for artists with extraordinary abilities, which allowed me to share stages in Venezuela, in Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Boynton Beach, FL, West Palm Beach, Fl, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and represent Venezuela in art in Curacao, Denmark and currently in Spain, Madrid. Teaching painting classes and courses to students has been an excellent experience to get to know the idiosyncrasy. I am inspired to talk about life, about baby seeds in my works. Create textures, create volumes and play with colors. Create new designs, although since I was little I felt the desire to paint faces and the human figure, I understood that realism limits us in creativity and no one can perfectly copy the divine work, so I think that giving freedom to the imagination and creation connects us with the superior, the artist must understand that we are only a receiver of talents given by the Creator, we are a channel and our job is to leave traces, give healing, give eternity of worthy messages, that nourish that add and do not subtract.
